Our Mission

To preserve the heritage and spirit of fellowship that have defined the United Service Club since 1927. We offer a welcoming space for patrons to enjoy camaraderie, immerse themselves in military history, and create lasting memories through shared experiences in a historic setting.

Our Values

We honour tradition, foster camaraderie, and respect the heritage of our club. We provide a space where community and history come together, ensuring every patron feels valued and connected through shared experiences.

About The Club

The building that now houses the United Service Club, located at 55 Watt Street, Newcastle, was originally erected in 1884 as the first Council Chambers for the Borough of Newcastle. The Club first leased the premises in 1931 and later purchased the property in 1954.

For enthusiasts of military history, our club features an extensive collection of artefacts on display, offering a unique glimpse into the past.

A full-sized snooker table is also available, providing an additional attraction for our patrons.

Our upstairs lounge, with its charming period décor, creates a distinctive atmosphere perfect for special occasions. Many of our patrons have enjoyed the camaraderie of musical evenings hosted in this elegant space.
